Our Goal
Greetings to all readers!
On behalf of the Student Government of South Mecklenburg High School, I would like to cordially welcome you our Student Government webpage. We exist at South Mecklenburg High School in order to serve and provide representation to the student body, coordinate ideas for the benefit and enjoyment of the students, lead the students of South Meck by example of character, and provide a general conduit of assistance to all who need it. We have much planned for this year and for the future, and are looking forward to giving back to the school that has provided us with so many great opportunities. Under the guidance of our new advisor, Mrs. Dickerson, as well as of the administration of South Meck, we will do all that we can to ensure that the student body is being provided with the opportunity to make the most out of their high school experience!

Mrs. Dickerson graduated from Winthrop University with a BA in History/Secondary Social Studies. She has been an educator for 21 years and this will be her 19th year at South Mecklenburg High School. She is a proud supporter of our military forces as her husband is a retired member of the United States Navy. They live in Fort Mill with their two children, one in college. And one in high school so she has experience as not only an educator in the classroom, but as a parent of the student in the classroom. Outside of school she spends her time with her daughter and her activities or on the football and soccer fields cheering on her son. She is looking forward to a successful 2016-2017 school year.
